The Art of Assassin’s Creed III Review

One of the most incredible things about modern technology and gaming are the worlds that developers create to transport us away from the here and now. Technology is now at a point that we can take a walk through downtown Boston or New York City during the time of the American Revolution. We have the ability to cross paths and interact with historical figures including George Washington and Benjamin Franklin. The Art of Assassin’s Creed 3 by TITAN BOOKS is a tome of many examples of modern artists evolving the world of video games.

The artwork that can be found in this book is visually stunning, with a mix of history and the fantastical. Some of the chapters cover topics, including the characters, the frontier, Boston, New York and even the ship battles that elevated the war to the high seas. The visuals on each page are good enough to want to fame each and every one of them. The book is 140 pages of high gloss and heavy paper stock, making this a treasure for fans of the series.

In conclusion, The Art of Assassin’s Creed 3 is a beautiful piece of gaming history; one part art book and one part history, I found the commentary to be both entertaining and very educational. On a side note, I just recently came back from Boston a few weeks ago. As I read this book, it made me wish that I had it with me as I toured the city. I did get to tour the USS Constitution and drove by the location of the Boston Tea Party. I wish I could just go back in time. The Art of Assassin’s Creed 3 would have made my trip to Boston so much richer. TITAN BOOKS did a great job with this book.
