Midnight Club

Man oh man PS2 has gotten the best of us and we all bought into the hype at one point or another. I know at launch it was like HOLY SHIT look at those graphics! Now it is like man where is my Dreamcast and that new kick ass game just released.

Face it the PS2 is lacking in the most important thing in this industry…software. Oh well at least a few of the games are good…here is a decent one.

This game is by far one of the most gorgeous games I have seen to date. Especially when you have the rain turned on and you see the reflection on the road oh my goodness. Now the bad…car models are only decent and the character models are downright laughable. Don’t get me wrong this game is all about lighting and it shows…damn it is pretty.

Not much here, I swear the music is like listening to elevator music…ya just don’t realize it is there! The voices and sounds throughout the cities are nice, although a bit muffled. Let us just say with DTS sound PS2 is lacking somewhere.

This game plays great. Not too loose and not too tight, just like a smooth baby’s ass. I love the steering and the sliding is great. I sound like a fruit cake writing this but I really don’t have much else to say because this game plays just like it should so I can’t complain.

This is definitely a game that only a hardcore would buy. Not much in it to do and definitely not much depth. This game is a pretty tech demo and a good weekend rental. I suggest you do that before buying this title or you may be upset with your $50 blue coaster.
