Here it is BAM! and it makes you say goddamn! This is a dope jam! Ok enough childhood memories from me it is time to review the newest and fastest racer on the planet Kinetica by SCEA. Kinetica is a new twist on the speed racing that has been made popular by the famous Wipeout series. Kinetica places it’s racers on the field literally, in the form of kinetic suits attached to their bodies so they are the race!

In the world of Kinetica you can assuredly feel the speed, sometimes it goes by so fast you happen to miss the pretty scenery that is floating by. There is lots of detail in these boards and can only be truly appreciated by watching the replay. The graphics are certainly off the hook, but the jaggies are very apparent in these high res textures!

The soundtrack is your run of the mill techno. I like techno as much as the next guy but even I could write better tracks than this. It seems the sound engineer grabbed a copy of Acid DJ and just threw some samples together. Not very original or catchy at all thumbs down on the sound!

Controlling your kinetic racer can be tricky at first. You must master the art of drifting if you plan on making your way through the championship. Drifting plays almost too much of a part of winning to make it any real challenge. As soon as you master that you are a god of this title. The control also feels a tad slippery when wet. The character glide all over the track as if they were covered in KY Jelly ewwwww!

All in all Kinetica is most assuredly not a bad game at all, in fact it is one of the better speed demons to spawn from the beloved (but dying) Wipeout series. This game needs a few tweaks to be a classic but tis a damn fine weekend rental! Enjoy the speed and of course baby got mad polygon back on this bitch!
