Big Bumpin’

What do you get when you combine a creepy fast food mascot with bumper cars? Big Bumpin. In this 1 of 3 $4 games only available at Burger King, you and 3 other players face off and knock the hell out of each other in a series of 5 different mini games.

I didn’t know what to expect when I heard that BK was going to have 3 exclusive Xbox 360 games. But, I was already thinking that there was no way these games would be any good. Well, I was wrong. I haven’t had to much time with all 3, but from what I have played of them, I really enjoyed them.

In all, there are a total of 5 mini games. The first being Last Man Standing. The object of this game is to be, of course, the last man standing. You do this by just hitting the hell out of your opponents.

The second game is Own the Puck. The object of this game is to be the first to reach a preset score of your choosing. And your opponents wont make that easy on you.

The third game is called Bumpin’ Hockey. The name says it all. Picture air hockey, but with bumper cars and power ups and you get the point of this game.

The fourth game is called Shockball. The object of this game is to unload a charged ball onto the other players. You do this, of course, by bumping into other the players.

And the fifth and final game is Power Surge. You have to go to one side of the arena collect charges, and then deposit it at a deposit point on the opposite side of the arena. You have to do this before your opponents knock the charge out. The first to a preset point limit wins.

There are a total of 10 arenas, but not all games can be played on all of the arenas. All games do support 4 players, on or offline. All 3 of the games also have achievements. So, if you want more gamer points, go spend $4. But good luck with getting them-the game, at times, can be difficult. You’ll have trouble winning a game, but the computer AI doesn’t seem to have any trouble at all.

The graphics in this game are really quite good. Now they don’t come anywhere near the graphics of say Project Gotham or Oblivion, but for only being $4, I’d like to see you do better. The lighting and textures are surprisingly good, especially when playing in the hockey arena. The sound, well, the sound is better turned off. Oh, and for some reason, theres a create a player option. Yeah, its pretty bad too.

All in all, this isn’t a bad game. The graphics are good, and the game is fun to play especially online. So what are you waiting for? Go get 3 buddies, go to BK, buy a value meal ( that’s the only way to get these games) and go knock the hell out of each other. After all, $4 for a game is better than some $60 games out now. That isn’t too bad of a deal.
