Tecmo Koei Announce Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge For 360/PS3

Were you one of those people who was left wanting by Ninja Gaiden 3? If so, there may be some salvation on the way, as Tecmo Koei announce Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

This new version of the game will feature new characters, a new gameplay mode and a redesigned battle system. It will also boast a robust Ninja Upgrade system, more intelligence system and bonus content.

Dismemberment will also be coming back in a big way and Team Ninja have also reduced the amount of QTE’s in the game.

Ayane, Kasumi and Momiji will all now be playable characters, with Ayane getting her very own chapters in the story mode. The other two will be playable in the Chapter Challenge and Ninja Trials Co-op modes.

“NINJA GAIDEN 3: RAZOR’S EDGE is the most action-packed and feature rich NINJA GAIDEN game ever created,” said Yosuke Hayashi, Team NINJA leader. “The brutal combat will challenge the hardest of hardcore NINJA GAIDEN fans while also rewarding them with tons of bonus content and new features including three playable female characters, new stages, and three times as many Ninja Trial missions.”

Along with all the changes, the online mode has been greatly improved and the game will come with all the original game’s DLC.

This sounds like that this game is what the original game should have been. If that is the case, then it begs the question as to why players have to buy the game again, to get the experience they should have got in the first place. Why not just make this an update? In any case, you can check out some tasty screenshots below.

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge is launching on April 2nd on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, having already been released on Wii U.
