Warner Bros. Entertainment and The Lego Group have today announced three new games for 2013, starting with an iOS game that releases tomorrow.
With Lego: The Legends of Chima, Warner Bros. Entertainment want to create three completely different experiences, all set in the same universe. The Legends of Chima is a newly announced collection of Lego that includes construction sets, vehicles and TV content. The three games aim to immerse fans even deeper in to the world.
The first game, Lego: The Legends of Chima Speedorz is heading to iOS tomorrow and is best described as a racing mini-game, with players racing Chima characters across various locations from the Universe.
The next game in the series, Laval’s Journey, will be coming to 3DS and PS Vita later in the summer and will be an adventure game. Both Speedorz and Laval’s Journey are being co-developed by Lego game legends, TT Games.
The final game, Legends of Chima Online, will be a free-to-play MMO, developed by Warner Bros. Montreal, and be a kid friendly game. The game is set for a Fall release.
“We are doing something innovative with LEGO Legends of Chima™ by making three distinct videogame experiences on a variety of platforms,” said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Production and Development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “By creating multiple LEGO videogame experiences for one brand, we are catering to today’s diverse gaming community, as well as establish a rewards system for players of all three games.”
Along with the games comes The Chima Vault. A place that links all three games and allows you to earn points across all games and then spend them on exclusive content.
